Weeping Riparian

Kabo, a young Riverine Rabbit, gets lost in the Karoo desert and faces serious danger when she finds herself face to face with a vicious martial eagle, Zain, who will stop at nothing to devour her. A deathly, clawed battle ensues when a second robust martial eagle, Timba, intervenes to save the young rabbit and warn her of an imminent invasion of their habitat. The warning spells disaster for Kabo’s colony - the last surviving colony of Riverine Rabbits in the world. Humans, with their gas fracking project, will be invading their habitat soon. Kabo returns to the riparian to warn her colony. Fuelled by her impetuous fearlessness, Kabo embarks on a risky and courageous journey to find a solution. She discovers a hidden network of animal species and allies who are also fighting to save their homes. Together, they devise a plan to deter the encroaching humans. The message from Timba soon manifests in the Karoo desert. Humans, with enormous gas fracking machinery on a wide field a short distance from the riparian, arrive to disrupt the Riverine Rabbits’ native habitat. However, a migration of several species over time, from their natural habitats to the gas fracking site, has caught the attention of the broader human community. News of the unique collaboration between species spreads far and wide, prompting the wider human community to come to their defence.
